We did some yoga stretches before workout today thanks to Laura from BC.
We then jumped into the pool which was already getting warm. 800 metre warmup, then those of us doing the open water swim took off for the lagoon. Our trip organizer Kelvin took charge of us. Six of us brave souls ventured into the salt water lagoon to practice open water swimming. It was absolutely beautiful in there. Just before we got in, we saw fishes jumping in the air and then diving back down into the water. I learned how to "sight" while swimming. I bet we did about 2500 meters in the lagoon. It was quite an experience and I am so glad I did it. The really brave people are planning an ocean swim tomorrow. They are trying to talk me into it but I think I will pass. Another time perhaps!
This afternoon we went to the beach to relax and listen to the sound of the waves pounding the shore. Lunch was at the beach restaurant - grill. Super busy and great food.
I expect it to be extremely warm for this aft's workout. Definitely will be wearing a shirt over my bathing suit.
It's only been two days and we both feel like we have been here for a week.
The group will be meeting for cocktails before supper. This is the life.
This all sounds so spectacular, Sandy! I can't even remember what 30 C. even feels like! lol Love your closing "This is the Life" comment!
